Worked perfect for an outside catI've done a lot of research on what is safe for rabbits. A LOT. All day. This has absolutely no smell when we opened the package. Its water-based paint. And the wood is safe. My rabbit loves it already. Set up was incredibly difficult because the instructions are not clear and had no words. We had to keep referring to this picture. The product itself though is amazing. Perfect size for our small living room. GREAT price. Another bad thing about this item was as soon as we opened the box, one of the peices was fallinf apart. We had to hammer it back in. It was still falling apart because the nails have to be small. I dont suggest going over it with wood glue since that's not safe for rabbits but well have to get different nails for some pieces eventually.My outdoor kitties do love it. Was a bit hard to put together. There are some gaps that don’t make it completely water proof. But overall good money spent.Bought this house for a feral cat that lives in the yard. Overall the build went well though it required longer and more screws than what came with the package. The house has held up well with the rain. Now just to get the cat to use it.....Very small, cute but we were very disappointed in the size. I wouldn't put it outside, it definately wouldn't last long in the weather. Good for inside, but I wouldn't recommend it for a large cat.I was so excited to get this for my kittens. But putting it together. Nightmare. Only because there are so many defects. There are gaps that just don’t belong. I am certainly disappointed that it doesn’t look like the picture.It is not waterproof not a good purchase for outside my cat loves it just not a good outdoor cat house.
