I purchased this for a stray cat that frequently visits my yard/garage that looks for a place to sleep/eat, but does not get close enough for me to help her/him. Fall has arrived and it gets very cold at night. This is the perfect cat shelter for the price. By touching the roof and walls from the inside for a few seconds, you can feel the temperature begin to change. We do not want to leave the space heater on unattended at night so this is the perfect alternative. Will purchase again.I like the size and the fairly small side entry. The Velcro for the roof is fairly substantial. Like the padded floor. This will work well for a semi enclosed patio.My neighbors cat hasn't gotten in it yet for any length of time. It's been way to hot, but I will update this in a few months when it cools off and we can see how well it actually works.Ease of Assembly.Simple to assemble. Comes with stakes to stick in ground and hooks to attach so lightweight house won’t blow or shift. Feral cats started using it within a day.Cat jumped up on top. It all caved in. Need more sturdiness, maybe bars in corners.My cat was seen once sitting in it. But I haven’t seen much activity since. It seems sturdy enough as for weather/rain proof. I have no idea because I am not going out there in or after a storm to check it outIt is very lightweight so you definitely need to use the hold down stakes that come with it.There was only two in mine so I went to homedepot and bought tent stakesI have not used as of yet. I got mainly for winter for the cat that arrived at my house this spring. I've had him neutered and he has been given a rabies shot. Vet said he was about 8 yrs old. I think he will love this house!
