It is sturdy and was easy to put together. It is nicer than the rope ones we have gone through in the past and looks like if the carpet gets worn out over the months you could replace it with auto carpet. The base of it is a little small and does tend to fall over a lot, but it depends on how the cats mess with it also. Some just pull their claws and the others (kittens) climb and jump around it like, well, just use your imagination ?. We are going to be getting about 4 more (we have a lot of cats) since it is well-built and the cats love it.
